about

Two Rivers Winery, Inc. is a new Wine Bar located in the Wine and Entertainment District of  Grafton, IL. The quaint historic building was operated as a winery for many years before its present owner (Anthony J. Ingles) began operation in May 2011. Owner Ingles, and Manager Jeni J. Brainerd,  brother and sister, both have knowledge of and love for wine, along with providing great customer service!

“Enjoy and compliment your wine experience with a selection of cheese and crackers while taking in the panoramic view from our quaint historic building or out on the patios & decks.” – Jeni Brainerd

Two Rivers Winery is located at 211 W. Main Street. Our quaint building, circa 1840, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is the Gable Front building style, constructed of Grafton’s native limestone. Two Rivers Winery’s building is one story in height, and the building’s walls are of rock faced, random coursed limestone. The building’s architectural elements show you the influence of the Greek Revival style.

“The buildings windows are trimmed with limestone sills and slightly pedimented dressed limestone lintels, the only known example of this characteristic on Grafton native limestone buildings. Dressed limestone quoins are at the building’s corners and entry surround. The stonework of the façade is graduated, with the limestone blocks becoming smaller as the building height increases. Dressed limestone steps lead to the front entry with a wood paneled door frame; the transom has been infilled with wood. This building rates high among the city’s early native limestone buildings.”
